Our Solar System
The Solar System is a collection of the eight planets and their moons that
orbit around the Sun. The eight Planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The Solar System was formed
4.568 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of an area within a
large molecular cloud.

Mercury is the second hottest planet and it is the closest planet to the sun.
Mercury's temperatures can go between -279 Fahrenheit and the night side
of Mercury can get cold as 290 Fahrenheit. The length of one day on Mercury
is 58d 15h 30m and it is also 57.91 million km away from the sun.

Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system and it is the second planet
closest to the sun. Venus’s temperature is 864 degrees Fahrenheit but it is
still not enough to melt lead .The length of one day on Venus is 116d 18h

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only object in the Universe known
to life and the Earth formed over 4.5 billion years ago. The heat of the Earth's
core can go up to 10,800 F. That's as hot as the surface of the sun. The length
of one day on Earth is 24 hours and it is also 149.6 million km away from the
