Last year, the Prime Minister of New Zealand suggested that we should replace the flag with a new, updated design. He invited everyone in New Zealand to come up with their own flag design and submit it.
For this activity, it is your turn to design a new flag. Use any drawing programme that you wish. I would recommend using the Flag Designer website. It allows you to create a flag in three easy steps.
Here Is the flag that i created with the Flag designer.

This flag is part of the old flag white some of the union jacks and One of the stars that have been turned into a yellow. So this is basically the old flag will just an update.

  2. Kia ora Siosaia and welcome to the Winter Learning Journey programme. We are SOOO excited that you have joined us this year!

We are also really pleased to see that you have already posted two full days worth of activities. Nicely done!

The flag that you have created for Day #1 (Bonus) is particularly cool. What inspired you to include the star? Does it remind you of something in particular? In order to earn full points for the activity, we are looking for you to describe your flag in words. What colours did you choose? Why did you choose them? What do the symbols included in your design mean?

I will look forward to popping back soon to see if you've had time to update your blog site with the info. I'm really curious about your flag and would love to know more!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

  3. Hello Siosaia
My name is Daniel and I am from Panmure Bridge school. I like how you put all of day one's activities in one blog post - it makes it easier to read. Your flag looks awesome, I really like the light blue, green and dark blue background. Keep up the amazing work.
    Daniel
